Véndiák Étterem, in Egyetem tér, near our hotel
ELTE Apáczai Csere János Gyakorlógimnázium és Kollégium, high school. Quite a bit of architecture!
One of the nearby subway stations. I took the bus instead
Getting off the bus, I find the Havas Boldogasszony Church
Steeple of the Havas Boldogasszony Church
A bit of a long walk up through a hillside park from Logodi út to Lovas út
These sodium lamps are really difficult to get a good color balance from. The sky turns an unnatural blue when the foreground is balanced to get "natural" tones
Halfway up the hill in the park, looking back down towards Logodi út.
A bust overlooking the Gránit lépcső (Granite Steps) leading up from Lovas ut to Toth Arpad Sétány
A mini-park with benches at the top of the climb through the park. Then there is another steeper set of stairs to the top of the hill.
Gránit lépcső (Granite Stairs), going up to the promenade at the top, Toth Arpad Sétány
View to the west from Toth Arpad Sétány (Promenade) near the Hospital in the Hill.
Steeple of the Havas Boldogasszony Church
Getting a look at Matthias Church
A little telephoto action for the Matthias Church steeple
More details of the steeple of Matthias Church
Jamie's Italian Restaurant, where we ate lunch the next day. Recommended!
More steeple action at Matthias Church.
Hard to get all of Matthias Church into shot, so went to the superwide
Szentháromság tér (Trinity Square) with Matthias Church, Trinity Column.
The Hungarian Culture Foundation is in the middle, built in a neogothic style in the early 1900s.
On to Fisherman's Bastion, approaching from the south side.
Photography happening!
Taken at the Fisherman's Bastion, Budapest, Hungary
The cafe at the Fisherman's Bastion makes a great photo spot, and you can get a tea or espresso!
Looking to the north along the Danube, towards the Hungarian Parliament Building and the Margaret Bridge.
Hungarian Parliament Building. Darn sodium lights...
Margaret Bridge over the Danube.
Széchenyi Chain Bridge
Elisabeth Bridge and Szabadság híd (Liberty Bridge) behind it.
Matthias Church and the rest of Fisherman's Bastion from the cafe at the north end. Great spot!
One of the many tour boats on the Danube, at the Hungarian Parliament Building, Országház
Spires of Felsővízivárosi Szent Anna-plébánia és templom, very recognizable.
Széchenyi Chain Bridge, love the offices in the foreground.
East sides of the Elisabeth Bridge and Szabadság híd (Liberty Bridge) behind it.
West sides of the Elisabeth Bridge and Szabadság híd (Liberty Bridge) behind it.
Tour boats on the Danube, south of the Hungarian Parliament Building, Budapest, Hungary
Panning with the near tour boat, 1/10th second with a 300mm telephoto on a monopod! Chose to leave the white balance set for the interior of the boat.
Szilágyi Dezső téri református templom from above.
Hungarian Parliament Building with my 300mm f/2.8 VR
Szent István Bazilika, St. Stephen's Basilica, with the 300mm f/2.8 VR

At the traffic circle to the west of Széchenyi Chain Bridge
Lions guarding the Széchenyi Chain Bridge
Getting down to river level along the west end of Széchenyi Chain Bridge
Busy roads even with the evening commute finished.
One of the lions on guard at Széchenyi Chain Bridge
Classic waking shot on Széchenyi Chain Bridge
Buda Castle and Széchenyi Chain Bridge west tower.
Evening run, Széchenyi Chain Bridge
