We have a few hours left in Budapest. Took a walk to the Szabadság híd, Freedom Bridge.
The Hungarian shield of arms adorns the Szabadság híd.
Liberty Statue, Szabadság szobor, in the distance across the Danube.
Peggy getting a photo with the lady crossing the Szabadság híd to go to the market.
Szabadság híd and Liberty Statue
We hopped onto the 2 Tram and rode it as far north as it goes. We had plenty of tram tickets left.
This is the north end of the 2 Tram line.
Trams at rest.
Tram driver taking a smoke break.
Going back south, we pass the Hungarian Parliament Building.
The south end of the 2 Tram line, at the OBI store. Wish we had more time to visit the store!
Checking out of the Rum Hotel. Sad to go! Waiting for the taxi we called for.
The taxi stop at the Budapest Airport.
Unfortunately we are saying "Goodbye" to Hungary.
Up in the airport observation deck, which cost a small, reasonable fee. Outdoor cafe not open.
Budapest Airport control tower
Our plane to Prague arriving. 1/4000th second shutter speed freezes the propeller blades.
Our plane getting parked on the ramp.
We both love the Kinder guys. I like the chocolate, Peggy likes the toys. We're a good team!
Hamming it up with the Kinder guys!
Terminal 2 Budapest Airport. Nice restaurants on the upper level.
I love these Rosetta Stone-like signs.
Stylish clothes with a slightly different flair. More color and fancy patterns!
A Swiss Airlines Embraer 190. Flight control sensors distinctly different than Boeing or Airbus.
Lufthansa A320 getting ready for pushback.
Ramp guys plugging in to the A320
Comms check, time to hook up the tug.
Taking their jet for a walk.
Our plane getting catered.
Arriving at our plane on the shuttle bus.
Orderly boarding, an ATR-42.
