Calcite Springs overlook, just north of Tower Falls
Looking down at the Yellowstone River, where I was hiking with the fishermen
Sulfur in the rocks, above and below the layer of basalt on the opposite wall of the canyon.
Here is the basalt layer on this side of the canyon
Basalt columns with ferns growing in between the colums.

Not much going on at the springs right now.
Here's that 25 foot thick layer of basalt, from a relatively recent geological event.
