Reflections of Reykjavik in the windows of City Hall (Ráðhús Reykjavíkur)
Taken in the morning during early June, Reykjavik, Iceland.
Windows in windows
Rather a brutal construction of concrete and glass
Out for an early morning walk to the Reykjavik City Hall
This young lady was waiting for the bus
More people came to wait for the bus as well
Kids have great hats in Iceland!
New arrivals at the bus stop
Families out for a little trip
Meeting old friends or making new ones
Male mallard in the pool in front of the Ráðhús Reykjavíkur
Ducks appear to be water repellant
The female mallard was more cautious and kept an eye on me
Skimming for breakfast
I hope he got something tasty
That looks like a smiling duck
Lots of dribbling duck photos, a female mallard
A male tufted duck
Male common eider leading a female
Whooper swan coming in for a landing
Meeting up with a friend
Swans making a point to each other
Yet another dribbly mallard
Gulls fighting over a bread crust
Settling down on a good spot to watch the water
There's Hallgrimskirkja again!
I wasn't the only bird photographer there
Pigeon eye. Macro work with the 300mm f2.8 VR + TC-17II teleconverter = 500mm!
I usually don't take a second glance at pigeons, but I am glad I did while carrying the big rig.
Swan bill. More macro work with the 300mm f2.8 VR + TC-17II
Whooper swan face
Male mallard eye. 500mm macro work!
These mallards didn't seem to mind my being pretty close
Bird photography happening
Crossing swans
A particularly sleek looking swan
Enjoying the light of the morning
Quite an extendable neck
Walking back to the hotel, others are getting ready to head out
Well groomed youngster
I like the toothy smile on this lad's face and his shirt
Taken in center city near the town hall in Reykjavik, Iceland. Kids play freely in the street, enjoying the sun while they have it.
