Heading over to Reykjavik Segway Tours, we spot some old bikes
Stefán owner and operator of the tour company greets the troops
We get our Segways assigned to us
Down at the harbor, lots to look at while the Segways are being handed out
Patrol vessels ready for Sailor Day activities
Moored in front of Harpa, the concert hall
Lessons completed, we are off, on turtle mode to get used to the ride
We head over to the bike path along the water heading north from the harbor.
We have graduated to high speed mode and our keys are updated to allow us to go full speed
Getting ready to fire a small cannon as part of the Sailor Day activities
Cruising toward Harpa
Pretty fantastic looking building. I wish we had gone in!
Looking up at some of the panels that make up Harpa
Across the bay, it is very rural. We drove that way taking the Ring Road.
This is how Vikings travel these days. Much more comfortable.
We got funny looks from cyclists
I was glad to have made this shot! She was riding past on her bicycle, and I was shooting at 270mm.
Yes, it is this picturesque in reality. Shockingly beautiful.
Sólfar = Sun Voyager sculpture. Great textures and shapes, contrasting with the mountains and city.
We take a little break for talk and photos
Sólfar, Sun Voyager, framed by Segways
Stefán explaining the construction and meaning of Sólfar
Sólfar, Sun Voyager

Off north to Höfði House
These chaps are nicely color coordinated
A great place to take in some sun
Chicks in a line
We amuse the cyclists
A decorative monument, snapped on the fly
Arriving at Höfði House, where Gorbachov and Reagan met
In the distance sailing is happening
Segways at rest
Grasses gone to seed
Heading off from Höfði House
Love the colors and sloped roofs of the apartment buildings
Höfði House, taking a lunch break
A good place to get some sun
WOW airways office in Reykjavik. We didn't fly them, but I considered them strongly
Rolling up towards the cathederal
On road Segway riding
We pause in the sun as Stefán takes a call
Rolling up to Hallgrimskirkja
Obligatory upward shot. Tall...
Hallgrimskirkja, Reykjavik, Iceland
We spot a bride arriving for her wedding
Here comes the bride!
High tech invades the tower
