Looking down from our hotel at the cafe across the street
The golden hour of setting sun lasts for 3-4 hours during the summer
Harpa concert hall with part of what I think is the Esjan mountain range to the northeast
Lots of people out and about, soaking up the sun
This is the little Reykjavik Cathedral next to Austurvöllur, the main square.
Great beards here! In the best Viking tradition.
A tourist or a local?
Waiting at an outdoor cafe
Same question: a tourist or a local?
Very bright hair and outfit
While one youngster is corralled, the other makes an escape

Coats and scarves tend to be brighter here, probably because they are in use for more of the year.

Getting ready to settle the bill?
I like how there are 4 letters that I can't type on my US English keyboard this street name
The Hallgrimskirkja appears at the top of many streets in this part of Reykjavik
Same location as the previous photo, just with the wide angle to show street art
Smoke 'em if you've got 'em.
Men jag kan tala lite Svenksa...
Cute little craft puffin, probably costing more than a dozen Chinese puffins.

What kind of food do you sell?
I love photos of photography happening
It is actually tasty and filling. No lambs are left standing in the bowl, however.
The highest scarf deployment that I have ever seen, and it was a nice day out!
Normal looking fire hydrants, brilliant color in the golden light of the evening
Ahhh, a product of the Kennedy Valve Company, in Elmira, New York.
A surprising number of bikes had very low tech seat covers. Discarded before riding in the rain?
Bundled up, but with knee ventilation for style
Very brightly painted houses. Our homeowner's association wouldn't permit such freedom
I just liked this sign. I wonder if there is a hotel EvE?
Here's the Hallgrimskirkja again
Saying hello to a friend
More photography happening in this sequence. I like the reflections in the sunglasses
So many cameras, so little time. My problem as well!
Looks good, getting ready to post it
Can't quite make out the photo on the phone in her sunglasses...
Warm glow to the woodwork and glass in the evening sun
Very orderly window opening plan. Nearly perfect...
A pickup bike. This is the first one I've seen that is privately owned. I have seen them at Ikea.
Slightly disorderly but inviting back yard
Early June, time to put some flowers in soon...
This reminded me of my abandoned truck photos from the Caribbean island of Dominica
I guess the latch must really not work
Definitely a lived in back yard
That's not a real Coke machine, just a box painted to look like one.
The guidebook is the giveaway, although they have the right scarf deployment
There's that Hallgrimskirkja again!
Gosh, it's 8PM, and the sun is still quite bright
