Lots of lovely red carpet. I'd love to have the contract for the carpet!
Vaults and columns are all the rage in the late 1800s
More red carpet...
The stained glass contract would have been lucrative as well.
Always fun to use the superwide indoors.
Museum of Ethnography to the north, through some wavy glass.
Pink marble and strong colors on the floor and roof. Nice!
Guards taking a break from guarding.
Quite interesting stained glass panels
More lovely red carpet.
The main entrance hall, fun with superwide
Main staircase, more of that red carpet!
Getting down low to really appreciate the carpet.
Lots of detail on the ceilings.

Some of the details of frescoes and carvings in the House Chamber, Hungarian Parliament Building
Details of the pillars, House Chamber, Hungarian Parliament Building.
Classic wide angle view of the House Chamber. Not too exciting...
Superwide, much more interesting!
Matthias Church through some wavy glass.
Antique wall switch plates. These would be awesome at home.
Cigar holders for the delegates. Such a shame to have to relight your stogie.
One of the hazards of the job...
Better than being on a plinth?
A kind face.
In the square to the north of the visitor's entrance is the Istvan Tisza Statue
Margaret Island and Margaret Bridge to the north.
Matthias Church a bit further to the south , with the Hilton Budapest nearby.
Matthias Church, much processing to bring up detail on this hazy afternoon.
