A beautiful morning at the shore in Höfn
Mountains and glaciers await us to the east
More glaciers sneaking down the valleys
Mountains to the immediate north and east of Höfn
The church with a great backdrop of mountains and clouds
This is the view that the houses on the waterfront have.
Quite a few greenhouses, I see!
Superwide again, but horizon on the midline.
Black-headed gull making a low pass over a female eider duck.
Black-headed gull coming in towards me
A black-headed gull that hasn't fully changed over from the winter plumage
I think this is a common gull, taking off
Head on shot of a black-headed gull
Other photographers getting and giving some kitty love
A pair of black-headed gulls
Great color combinations on the houses!
A bit of Icelandic pride.
The cat came to see what I was doing,
Óslandshæð has a memorial to fishermen lost at sea
Beautiful hard edges against the softer outlines of snow.
Mr Cat is wondering if this takes diesel...
Parading black-headed gulls
Another black-headed gull comes in to find breakfast
A redshanks, apparently a noisy bird.
A black-tailed godwit
The long beak comes in very handy
I couldn't get any photos of what the godwit was eating
Heavily backlit black-tailed godwit
Lenses have gotten a lot better handling these backlit situations!
Turnstone, with really good camouflage, except for the legs!
The first and only dandelion I saw in Iceland at the end of April
A redwing, which looks like an American robin
Another redwing, slightly more beat up.
Clouds coming down over the glacier in the distance.
Clouds just starting to come down the next valley
