Flying from Pittsburgh to Miami
Our little jet
Very quiet in the mid evening in Miami
On board the next morning
San Juan Puerto Rico, a long walk from the terminal for the jets to the props
Thank goodness these are not our planes
Ben and Bonnie resting before the three flights from San Juan.
Somebody preflighting their plane
Is this our plane? Nope...
Ah, this is our plane.
An ATR-72
Somebody else taxiing out
Interesting tail beacon on the ATR
Left this uncropped for the fisheye effect: shooting the 18-300 DX lens on an FX body (D800e)
Travelling in comfort, once the AC is turned on. It was very hot on the ground
Arriving at Antigua. Fisheye effect useful here (Sometimes creative misuse of equipment yields a desirable effect. Shooting a DX lens on FX body, with autocrop off)
We had 45 minutes in Antigua, enough time to have our passports inspected and stamped
Now back out to the plane to Pointe A Pitre
I think this is our plane for two short flights
Deplaning at Dominica, about 6:30PM. The Denver folks had been traveling all night and all day.
FOD not like food!
Boarding the bus to Dive Dominica. One of our bags didn't make it on the flight. LIAT!
Night time drive across the island
A buffet dinner at Dive Dominica was extremely welcome
Our view in the morning at breakfast
Doves and drippy wetsuits
These folks returned from a whale watching trip
Looking north towards Roseau
Big ships, little boats
On a walk to the supermarket half a mile to the south
Outdoor grilling!
Gas of all types available. Much cooking with propane

Crouching bull
Very zen-like though
Castaways
Deconstruction equipment
Being reclaimed by the jungle
DSN_3523
Tidy!
A little work of art
I don't think either of them is going anywhere
Outdoor storage
Isuzu gazebo?
Very airy in this cab
DSN_3552
Walking back to the hotel
Sighted at breakfast
Coming back from the last of our dives during our week in Dominica
Houses dwarfed by the mountains
Looking south, to where our dive sites were
A little collection of boats
There's Ela waving to us as we return
That's a big smile!
Ela waiting to help tie us up to the dock
Our courtyard at Dive Dominica and breakfast view
Very forward sparrows
DSN_5562
Tough choices in the morning
Is that half and half our just milk?
An onlooker at breakfast
Hatching a plan
More action than expected going on under the tables
Get a room!
I guess he didn't expect to find a photographer down here!
Up in the lights
Making their move
Coming in for a landing
Preparing for takeoff
Pensive. I like the background colors. (A chickadee visiting us at breakfast in Dominica)
Eyes in the sky
Back from Home Depot (A little chickadee with some building material, shot in Dominica.)
That's all for the birds

Oh, got only one hummingbird photo

Bonnie and cake action!
Photo time! (I had my camera set to AutoISO, reasonable choice in daylight, not a good choice for flash. DOH!)
Our fearless leader
The Dominica group from Denver Divers, March-April 2015
The first incision
There's the Denver Divers sticker
Come on in!
Loading up the coach for the drive to the airport

Driving through Roseau, it was market day
Sold!
DSN_6144
And big ship day
The liner dwarfs the coast guard boat
and dwarfs Roseau!
Going up or coming down? Maybe both?

That's a splendid hacienda!
So is this one!
This one, not so much...
Down through the mountains, near the airport
On the northeast side of the island
Here we are at the airport
No photos permitted inside the airport, so this will do.
Direct to San Juan this time!
Another ATR
San Juan, where we grabbed some cuban food after immigration and customs
David waiting for us in Miami
Sunset in Miami
I have a huge number of aircraft tail photos like this, but the setting sun is a nice one.

Fin! (Pun intended)
