Kawaii Gifts in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA
The owner was nice enough to let me try out my new Sigma 180mm f/2.8 macro
These sign photos were taken with the 24-70 f/2.8 Nikkor
Using a pair of Sea & Sea YS-110a strobes for direct and bounce flash
Direct flash, system on Gitzo 3 series tripod with Arca-Swiss Uniball head
Excellent detail with the Sigma 180
Going to bounce flash..
Bounce flash for one strobe, reduced power direct for second strobe
Trying out new Sigma 180mm f2.8 Macro (Visited Kawaii Gifts, a toy store in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. Shot with a pair of Sea & Sea YS-110a strobes, one bounce and one direct with diffuser, Nikon D800e, Gitzo 3 series tripod with Arca-Swiss monoball head.)

f/5.6, narrow depth of field
f/16, much larger depth of field
f/16 seems to be the choice for working in this close

These guys look like Politburo members at the May Day parade in Red Square... Shooting on monopod.
Excitable panda! Need more depth of field...
Cats and donuts? Need more depth of field...
Shooting handheld now, no supports
I bought one of these to take home...
System working fine for longer distance work

Handheld, takes 2-3 attempts to get focus point right

Shifting around to minimize glare from flash easier handheld than with tripod

Kneeling handheld is steady enough for close work
